Stuff like window resizing and so on is handled by telnet
automagically, so yes, there is little to 'option' apart from
remote host name and port.

What sort of system do you have, and in what way does it not work?
If you are building from source, does gnome-libs/zvt/zterm
work?
And finally ... how recent is it?
