imlib rpm

I am installing the imlib library: rpm -i imlib-1.3-1.i386.rpm,
which i downloaded from: http://www.labs.redhat.com/imlib/

i had to get ride of some of the older libraries .....
and installed all of the library binary RPM's, everything fine 
so far.....
But upon: rpm -i imlib-1.3-1.i386.rpm
I get the error message: libgif.so is needed by imlib-1.3-1

I looked around for the libgif library but did not find it 
anywhere ...
where can i get it?
What have i missed?
