Whose example document?  docbook-demo has been taken out of the
distribution because it was not up to date.

I really need a better "bug report" from you.  Can you tell me what
commands you ran?  And when you say "blank output", do you mean that
the file was empty or that a particular web browser shows you a blank
page?
