Are you running a Debian System with the latest libgtk packages?

Then try "locate glibconfig.h". The header file is not in the search 
path glib.h expects it with "#include <glibconfig.h>". I made a symlink
from /usr/include/glibconfig.h -> /usr/lib/glib/include/glibconfig.h
