Compiling questions...

Hi there,

I've been trying to stubmle through the CVS versions of stuff to get
my games back, after debian went to gtk+ 0.99.4 :). I've been reading
through the list archives and I got most of my issues resolved, but
there's a couple items I have questions about..

1) The gnome-guile stuff still seems to be subtly broken. I can get it
to compile easily enough by touching the BUILT_SOURCES to a date where
they get rebuilt, but I'm pretty sure that's not right :). I suspect
the solution is to make the Makefile depend on BUILT SOURCES before
the .deps/*

2) I haven't been able to build any of the objective-c stuff. It
compiles OK, but tells me that "main" is undefined when it goes to
link it. Do I need to get something else, or is it not working at the
moment?

3) Just a question.. Once I added -fhandle-exceptions to my gcc spec
file, it started chowing memory like crazy. Is that because of the
handle-exceptions, or the specific stuff the panel code uses? Would
upgrading to gcc-2.8.1 or egcs-1.0.x help that?

Looking good so far, though :)
