gmc NEED a directory tree

Having a directory would be a major gmc improvement.  With a that tree it's
a lot faster for the user to work with files.  Also, we won't need to open
a second gmc to copy or move files to other folders.  A tree would open the
path for a lot of improvement in gmc.

P.S.: When using gmc in list mode, it's very hard to select mulitple files
with ctrl and shift (not in icon mode) Why?.
