Well, that's actually what the "component" talks are about... You're
precisely describing how some OpenDoc parts (or any other component
architecture elements) would interact.
The problem is that it requires IMHO much more work that the "simple"
CORBA thingies I thought of -- first getting a working OpenDoc
implementation. But I suppose the long range objective is actually
something like that !
