RE: GNOME registry

I was thinking along the same lines.

The config library could have corba wrappers as well as wrappers for
all programming languages.

	|program
	         [Config library / corba wrappers
				| - "LDAP" Directory to a LDAP server.
				| - "MDS" Directory (Microsoft Active
Directory) <----- for future refference Microsuck uses LDAP
				| - "NDS" Directory (Novell)
				| - "iODBC" (SQL)
				| - XML Engine - (Layered)
					| - ".db" Database "registry-lite"
configuration.
					| - Plain old Text Library.

It should be moddled after PAM. A sister project of sorts.
