I was thinking along the same lines.
The config library could have corba wrappers as well as wrappers for
all programming languages.

| - "LDAP" Directory to a LDAP server.
| - "MDS" Directory (Microsoft Active
Directory) <----- for future refference Microsuck uses LDAP
| - "NDS" Directory (Novell)
| - "iODBC" (SQL)
| - XML Engine - (Layered)
| - ".db" Database "registry-lite"
configuration.
| - Plain old Text Library.
It should be moddled after PAM. A sister project of sorts.
