gnome-terminal updates

Could someone merge the fixes to gnome-terminal into the stable branch
please.  I don't have enough diskspace to do the update and test it
myself.  The fixes seem to work well in the HEAD branch. 

Oh, and, how do you get the menubar back when you choose hide menu bar in
gnome-terminal?  Right clicking the window doesn't seem to help.

One other thing, gnome-app seems to leave a little area at the top of the
widget when the menubar is hidden.  If the session is restarted without
the menu bar then you just get a blank region at the top.  This doesn't
effect functionality but doesn't look too good.
