Re: gnome-init (balsa) dies



I have exactly the same problem with all gnome apps. I reported this to
the list a few days ago but nobody seemed to notice...

You can get around the problem by inserting the following lines to
$HOME/.gnome/sound/system:

[settings]
start_esd=false
event_sounds=false
