possible that i don't havethe right kind of libraries, because i compiled them myself to produce the corresponding debian packages, perhaps i forgot some options. Will look at it a bit more .

i am not sure this is a nice way of handling this. In the case of debian packages, and rpms also i think, the libgtk-dev.deb package is anyway architecture specific, so there is no need to put glibconfig.h somewhere strange. that is unless you want to
run the same partition from different architectures ...
