libgtop version

All: Gnome is looking great!

One build problem:

When I compile libgtop out of CVS, the version comes out as 0.0.0.
This causes problems later with programs which check for libgtop.0.2x.x
in the config script.

If I look in the generated Makefile and ~.in, ~.am, 
there doesn't seemto be a

   -verion-info flag for libtool.

Am I missing something ?
