Panel crashes at startup + backtrace

Hi,

I recompiled gnome from scratch out of the anoncvs today, and now my
panel won't work.  It starts, claims to be initializing CORBA, draws the
panel, loads an applet, and then dies with a SIGPIPE.  

I had the same problem on two different systems:

Linux 2.1.115/glibc1
Linux 2.0.35/glibc1
