AAAARGH! panel won't work.

Well, that about describes it. I've finally got everything installed and
compiled, but the panel refuses to work. I start it and get several 

** WARNING **: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: 
"netwatch-net-down.xpm" line 47

Then, it goes into an infinite loop of:

** WARNING **: gtk_menu_attach_to_widget(): menu already attached to
GtkMenuItem

During this time, I can see a gray strip along the bottom of the screen.

Actual GNOME apps such as the calculator work fine, though.
