actually the verison of giflib available with the rest of the gnome
rpm's qualifies.. i specially "neutered" it. all saving code has been
snipped out. it has no patent problems. the save functions will always
retrun errors and thus nto allow saving of a gif. All lzw writing code
was removed, so the patent problem is fixed. :)
