Compilation failure of gnome-core-0.13

On Solaris 2.5.1 there does not appear to be inet_aton although inet_ntoa is 
declared in arpa/inet.h. The linking of gnome-help-browser fails with
Undefined                       first referenced
 symbol                             in file
inet_aton                           transport.o
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to gnome-help-browser
