Oh I know - I bet we parse up the int/pointer as:

  [pointer: [32 bits of int] [first 32 bits of pointer]] 
  [int: [last 32 bits of pointer]]

Then unpack them again as:

  [int: [32 bits of int]]
  [pointer: [first 32 bits of pointer] [last 32 bits of pointer]]

That's very wrong.
