GNOME Sysadmin Summary - February 2005
======================================

On the 2nd, at about 18:20 UTC we took a SCSI bus reset on menubar. Matt
fixed it within seconds, but noted it may indicate a larger problem if
it happens again.

On the 3rd, Matt updated the 'SSH scanner' iptables rules, which shield
our SSH daemon from a whole raft of hostile connections. (Matt)

Sunday 13th, SNMP and MRTG was set up to monitor the load on all four
machines. The graphs are only available to sysadmin team members for
now. (Ross)

Sunday 20th, the 'rules_du_jour' script was added to menubar, so that
some of the SpamAssassin 'Custom Rulesets' could be kept up-to-date.
This should help prevent some of the more obvious or repetetive spam
that was getting through. (Ross)

Also on Sunday 20th, mysqld on button was upgraded to v4.1 (from RHEL4
SRPM) to allow progress to be made on bug #96376. (Ross)
