Ah, I think I understand now and it sounds like a good idea.

I would add a branch for upstream code in this case, but a diff between
www.gnomejournal.org CVS HEAD and the textpattern-current tarball shows
no differences. I suspect it's just a case of applying new releases
directly to HEAD.
