There are now 4 modules listed in the status-pages concerning
NetworkManager:

NetworkManager
NetworkManager-openvpn
NetworkManager-pptp
NetworkManager-vpnc

Just now, I was looking at the contents of these templates.
There is a LOT of redundency in them, especially in the last three.

For example, both NetworkManager-pptp as well as NetworkManager-vpnc
start out with the exact same msgid and location of the message:

#: ../auth-dialog/gnome-two-password-dialog.c:147
msgid "_Secondary Password:"
msgstr ""

There are many more identical messages between the modules.

Does anybody know what would happen if this message was translated
differently in the two modules?

I think the way these modules are presented now, is suboptimal for
translators.
It's extra work, error prone and a pain to keep everything up to date
and consistent.

Could a NetworkManager developer please enlighten us why they chose to
follow a scheme such as this and why/if it is really necessary?
