What is the difference between full info and essential statistics?

Hi guys,
Can someone explain the difference between the full-info and essential 
statistics on these two pages?

http://l10n-status.gnome.org/gnome-2.12/essential.html

They seem exaclty the same to me with a single difference:
The last column in essential is called "total".
