 ------- Additional Comments From chpe+gnomebugz@stud.uni-saarland.de 2004-03-08 08:39 -------
The bug in the translation of the string with msgid "system-language" is a
critical bug. It will cause web page loads to fail in the default configuration
of Epiphany. Therefore this bug MUST be fixed for Epiphany 1.2 (tarballs will be
 made ~ March 20).

+I agree it's critical, and also a mystery why it hasn't been fixed
+already by the sl team. This bug was after all initially reported in
+August 2003.
+
+If the sl team doesn't resolve it in time, you could fix it yourself.
+Either disable the sl translation altogether in
+ALL_LINGUAS/configure.in, or make the msgstr of this message empty:
+msgstr "". If you do the latter, you should probably also add a
+suitable # comment immediately before the message telling why the
+translation was removed.
+
+Normally we don't want developers changing translations directly, but
+if there's a build breakage or other critical bug, and it isn't fixed
+in a timely manner by the responsible translators, there's a big
+difference IMHO.
