Even so, the fact is that there is no automatic prioritization system
for messages for translators, and hence every single added message, how
obscure it may even be, still is one added message that translators are
supposed to translate. And the more we have of those, the more difficult
it will be to catch further string additions and string freeze
breakages. And so on -- it usually tends to become an evil circle.

I think we have far passed the point where strings should be added to
gnome-2-4 branches, even for bugfixes. Exceptions should only be granted
with very good excuses. I don't think "it's obscure enough" cuts it,
because I would think that is generally a moot point for translators,
since "obscure messages" cannot be counted seperately.
