Problematic modules in Gnome CVS

Okay, there are a few problematic modules in Gnome CVS.

* Gdesklets-extras *

First of all, gdesklets-extras is assuming too much (that gdesklets
itself is checked out to ../gdesklets), so status pages are incorrect
for it, and I suggest everyone to periodically check out the CVS if
they care about having complete translations.

* Pybliographer *

Next, pybibliographer had POTFILES.in removed by author, because it
appears that it doesn't use intltool (see README.i18n in that
directory). Still, this means there's not even a good way to update our
translations, so it'd be nice if someone provided a nice update.pl like
all of us have seen around ;-)

I'd do it myself if I get around to it, since I'm fixing all the other
problems in the meantime (for those who care, there are a whole bunch
of new messages in gnome-network because it had wrong POTFILES.in).

* Gimp *

Now, there's also a problem with Gimp (POT file is not generated
correctly), but I get totally lost when I try to follow which file
belongs in which POTFILES.in (there are po/, po-plug-ins/, po-script-
fu/, ...). So, anyone with more knowledge than me in this area who can
help? It could be as easy as removing the files that are no longer
existant, but as I said, I'm not even sure if I should do that. As a
help, this is a simple check I've did:

$ for i in `cat POTFILES.in | sed s/\#.*//|sort|uniq`; do \
> if [ ! -f ../$i ]; then echo $i; fi; done
app/core/gimp-grid.c

So, this one file should probably be removed from POTFILES.in. The same
is true for the only file in POTFILES.skip (it's a desktop.in file,
probably replaced by desktop.in.in file in POTFILES.in).

* GnomeMeeting *

This one has an updated POTFILES.in just fine, but it uses a generated
cat-id-tbl.c which uses continuation lines ("\" and a newline following
it) in C strings. I propose to change that to the form of separate
strings per line, or (better) to fix gettext tools to handle it. OTOH,
I'm providing a patch, that changes all occurences of:
"This is \
a string"
to:
"This is "
"a string"

which works with intltool and gettext much better, yet it's a valid C
code.

Any comments before I file a bug (like idea for better way of solving
this problem :)?

* The Rest *

Other, simple ones like mlview, nautilus and gnome-network, I've fixed
myself.

Cheers,
Danilo
