Two translations for Uzbekistan

Hi all,

I'm a coordinator of Mandrake and KDE Uzbek translation teams.
Officially, Latin script is used for Uzbek language, but in practice
Cyrillic script is commonly used.

Mandrake Uzbek translations exist in both scripts. uz and uz@Cyrl
is used for latin and cyrillic scripts respectively. uz@Cyrl locale
was suggested by Pablo Saratxaga - person in charge for i10n and
i18n @ MandrakeSoft.

Recently, Uzbek-cyrillic was included into glibc
[http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/libc/localedata/locales/uz_UZ@cyrillic?cvsroot=glibc].
There was a long discussion on how to call it. Please have a look at

Finally, it became uz@cyrillic.

I would like to introduce Uzbek-cyrillic and -latin translations to KDE
and later on to GNOME.

Is it possible to have Uzbek-cyrillic and -latin translations in KDE / GNOME ?
If yes, how should Uzbek-cyrillic locale look like ?
