It could be bad if the correct translations would only come with a
high cost in terms of efforts from the translators.
When we in the Swedish team find things which can't be correctly
translated, we routinely report it as an error to the developers.
More often than not, the developers are very keen on improving
things.
With this single effort in one team, and one effort from the
developer, maybe we have solved a problem for 20 other languages too.
Without any extra effort at all on their part. Surely, that is better
spent resources, isn't it? Better than designing and implementing a
rather complicated extension to gettext, and then solving the problem
once for each language.
