There have been debates here on what is suitable terminology to be
used in translations, whether pure sanskritized forms', hinglish, or
just english written in devangari. I suggest you start from the Gnome
glossary, as it has all the commonly occuring words that need to be
translated. I have done a incomplete translation for Gtk20.pot, will
update it and send it.

Teams listed or known to this list have not done any work. But there
are teams not known to the list who have done some work. One of it is
listed below, and person involved in another team is CCed. He is
working straight on Gnome 2.0 pots taken from gtp gnome 2 status page
dated 4th April. He recently started it, He is doing it on paper first
and then getting the stuff typed by volunteers, to do it quickly. In
week or two the developer platform & desktop utils pots should be
done.

There were some translations done by a team at NCST for an older
version of gnome applications (probably 1.2). They are available from
 http://rohini.ncst.ernet.in/indix/download/src/gnome-messages.tar.gz
These translations have been put up as-is by current gnome hindi
coordinator at cl-india.sf.net . I have merged part these translations
into latest pots, but a lot needs to be retyped. With language support
in place its time translations also are in place.
