This is most probably not the right way to achieve the goal you're
looking for ;)  I guess you're trying to prepare and checkin
translations for the stable 1.2 release.

If a package is branched you'll have to use symbolic "tags" to retrieve
the wanted version.  IIRC, 1.2 of gnome-libs is still tagged
"gnome-libs-1-0"; check it out this way:

    cvs co -r gnome-libs-1-0 gnome-libs

Or use an update command to adjust your already checked out files set.
AFAIK, "gnome-libs-1-0" will be used for the forthcoming 1.4, too.

Other modules use similar schemes -- but be prepared too encounter
subtle differnences ;)  About others you don't have to take at all: they
are not branched...

>From time to time Kjartan sends tables on tags used.  Kjartan, it would
be a nice service to send this list to this mailinglist on a monthly
base.  Is this possible?
