GNOME 2.5/2.6 Hard Code Freeze

GNOME 2.5 will soon be GNOME 2.6.0. Well done everyone.

As per the GNOME 2.6 release schedule
we should be in hard code freeze about now. This actually means that
modules should be in hard code freeze after they have released their
Beta 1 tarballs - hopefully everyone has done that already.

Hard Code Freeze is an extreme freeze but luckily it only lasts until
GNOME 2.6.0 has been released. That should happen around March 22nd.

Hard Code Freeze avoids sudden last-minute accidents which could risk
the stability that should have been reached at this point. No source
code changes are allowed without approval from the release team, but
translation and documentation should continue. Simple build fixes are,
of course, allowed without asking.

If you need to break this freeze, please email the release-team, as
described here:
http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/tasks.html#ApprovingFreezeBreaks
We don't want to get in the way.
