[Fwd: gnome2 apps]

Might be good to add a list of apps that are already picking up
GNOME2/gtk2 support to the release notes? Obviously, we aren't
supporting these, but it would be nice, I think, to show how one could
assemble a reasonably complete list of gtk2/gnome2 apps, and demonstrate
we have developer momentum too.

My list offhand [please contribute others, everybody- the longer the
list the better, I think]:

        * xchat2 [homepage: http://xchat.org , files:
          http://xchat.org/files/source/1.9/]
        * galeon2 [h: http://galeon.sourceforge.net/ , f: snapshots
          available but Marco might not want their URL distributed on a
          large scale, please ask him first:
          http://tieguy.org/moz-gtk2-xft/ ] Also might want to link [if
          blizzard doesn't scream] to the mozilla/gtk2 status page at
          http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92033
        * rhythmbox: h: http://www.rhythmbox.org/ ; f: there are 0.3.0
          rpms but no release :) so maybe file links should wait for
          that :) FWIW, the latest code is pretty nice looking and I can
          finally use it as my daily music driver. Well, I could until
          my CVS pull/build tonight starting segging on start up :)
        * eclipse.org: had no idea they were doing anything other than
          java/swing; discussion of the port status is here:
          http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/~checkout~/platform-swt-home/dev.html
        * pan: h: http://pan.rebelbase.com/ f:
          http://pan.rebelbase.com/download/releases/0.11.94/
        * gaim: I know there is a port but I can't find a link for it.
        * gnomeicu: ditto- I know there is a port [we're getting stack
          traces for crashes in it ;) but I can't find a link for it.
