Breaking form and responding to my own comment as I was responding with
absolutely no content. The reason I'm in agreement is that I've found
that most of the comments fall into two categories, "fan boy" or "user
support". Either one can probably move to a mailing list. I think the
addition of comments to a news site makes it less professional and doesn't
contribute majorly to a community feeling IMHO.
If you want community, do a mod_virgule at community.gnome.org.
