Hmm, it depends what you think of by robust - some people might argue that
an application should fail noisily instead of silently if something is
seriously broken (such as the installation of schema files), because it
increases the likelihood that the user will know that there is a problem
and correct it, instead of attempting to work with a silently broken
application...?
