Well, it happens that Gconf is a client-side wrapper for a CORBA server
so, this is not really an argument. The discussion seemed to imply that
the bonobo-config way was involving way more CORBA calls than GConf (I
have not idea myself is this is trus or not since i have not even looked
at the code) but I would like to avoid the technical arguments in this
discussion.
This discussion SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT TECHNICAL ARGUMENTS. The fact that
Havoc was nice enough to discuss the technical aspects is not a good
reason to continue.

As maciej said it, revert everything and then discuss the problem. 
(Do I sound pissed ? Yes. I am bored of the same bullshit everytime
someone makes a decision which is not his decision. This is so fucking
recurent...)
