time for a flamewar, or ... what about grdb

OK, time to bring back the good old gnome-hackers tradition, and flame each
other to pieces.

OK, Jacob and I have a disagreement about gnome-core and we thought we will
put it for some public scrutiny.  Besides who doesn't enjoy a good flamewar.

So, the thing is, should grdb go into gnome-core?

Background: The grdb author seems to fell of the earth and has not updated
the package for about half a year, and isn't responding to emails.  AFAIK,
the author was for including it in gnome-core, last I heard.  Anyway, I
suppose I'm stuck maintaining this 1300 lines of code baby.

What is this marvell of modern technology?  Makes motif/athena apps have the
same colors as your gtk theme.  That is, you netscape no longer looks like
crap when around other gtk apps.

Pros:
* It's really a core sort of thing and makes sense to be together with things
  like the session manager etc.
* it's 1300 lines of code, making a new package is a hassle, and keeping
  up the auto* stuff and making releases and all that crap.  Since I'd be
  doing that, I'd rather it be done together with another package if possible
  as that will make it easier (gnome-core already has all the stuff set up
  and people notice when it breaks and fix it).  Having it be in the
  gnome-core setup is actually quite simple.
* We don't really have permission to release it separately I don't think,
  though I suppose that's not much of an issue.

Cons:
* There are none, I'm trying to convince you it's a good idea, why should I
  point out any bad sides.
