I think in part we are talking at cross purposes. I have no objection to
the proposal to keep seperate session data. It is unrelated to the issue
of keeping non session data per display.
My specific concern is that
o The session file/directory name is generated in the libraries from
appropriate environment (hostname, displayname, displaysize ?)
Simply because using a symlink and relying on people to follow it is
insufficient when the same directory is used for two sessions and the two
sessions are both live together.
