IMVHO, perhaps is a bit too weak 8-)
There are a lot of way more important things to happen for gnome2 than a
setup/configuration UI we think is fine and crack free and for
which vendors just should make backends.
Not to mention that the view that vendors should just be content to make
backends for a configuration system we dictate is quite a bit on crack.
