Hi,

I think the feature is needed but the particular implementation there
could use some API review and polishing. Removing it is probably
sensible.

I would suggest that we prototype this feature with e.g. Gnumeric and
AbiWord and the panel, and then move it into the library once it seems
to work nicely.
