Hmm, so by this logic shouldn't we keep supporting the old gnome-sound API?

As far as I understand it, that soon will need to be gnome 2.0.  And as far
as I can see, this has nothing to do with the sound API to use.  This has to
do with the triggers API.  Which this commit removed, didn't it?
