I have long missed the days when an About box gave you a short
summary of what the program did.

If I see help->About, I want to erad about the program, not about
the people who sold it to me.

I'd like to see help->about say
	gnome-carpet 1.4.3

	yse gnome-carpet to search the carpet in your bedroom for
	gnomes hiding in the pile.  Gnome-carpet will not remove the
	gnomes, but can optionally call gnome-vacuum to do that.

	[contributors...] [webpage...] [report bug...] [dismiss this window]

where first the buttons might also be help menu items where appropriate.
