RE: User interface suggestions



The problem with the Gnome environment right now is that it's dreary and 
dull.  Who wants to use something that's dreary and dull?  The folks down 
at MacOS X know no one wants to use something dreary and dull - hence the 
photo-realistic *COLORED* icons.  If people wanted black and white they'd 
tell their computer to switch over to monochrome.

If at all possible, it should not fade to "greyscale", but to
"panel-color-scale" or "menu-item-color-scale", depending on what
background the icon is against..
