Sure. Just alias the event bindings to locale-specific names. Or
have your configuration interfaces show pictures of hands. You could
choose to define the portable Button3 or the U.S. English specific
RingFingerButton.
It's hard to avoid numbers altogether, especially as a common language,
and I think it's a bad idea to try.
