Have you ever used an IBM keyboard?  The keys have tops which can be
detached without too much trouble, and moved around to suite the user.  I
would expect that the mouse buttons would have similar moveable labels as
well, because of such issues.

As for it being "tied" to an OS.  This label set is a part of a document
I've been working on specificing a new kind of interface, rather different
from any existing ones.  I don't expect it to be implemented any time soon,
and if it was, I doubt we'll see power enough hardware for it to be common
place until 2003 -- it does rely heavily on 3D representations of objects to
provide a rich interface :)
