Yes, the lack of keyboard support is one of the most annoying thinks in
GNOME. But gnumeric
seems to have a lot of them, so its possible in GNOME. (We just need to
encourage the use!)

Yes, system-wide shortcut are nice especially for stock type
buttons(Apply, Save, Don't save, Cancel).
