RANDOM THOUGHT: Menu order

I've been thinking about what people have said about menu order and
the whole "GNOME Must Be Different" thing, and I had a small
realization: If menu order and user interaction are too different from 
other existing UI's, will applications coders be willing to port
applications? Just a thought...
