Hello all,
I recently installed FreeBSD 4.6 with the gnome2 port. I was having
some issues with X and setuid/getting gnome2 to work. I have gnome running
now have noticed a few things when I log in as a normal user. First thing
is that I get the same desktop as when I log in as root (i.e. I have /var
/usr /root mounted on my desktop which I cannot remove) Also, I have almost
zero applications, I have no web programs such as a browser etc, no
multimedia, no email, etc... Pretty much all I have is the configuration
menu and a few others, like the games menu. Is this how gnome2 installs by
default or am I missing some of the tarballs? I've also noticed that every
time I log out of gnome, nautilus crashes...which isn't really a big deal.
Anyways, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Tyler Parrott
