Hi,
  The alarm icon displayed in the notification area of gnome-panel will
not be displayed all the time as a fix for the bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325762. The icon would appear
in the notification panel only when there a alarm pending. The
preferences setting for selecting the calendars for alarm notification
has been moved to Evolution->Edit->Preferences->Calendar and Tasks->
Alarms.
