Adding Documents to the Yelp Help System

I'd like to know what's the best way to make such documents as the SUSE
Linux manuals available to the yelp help system.  The Handbook
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gdp/handbook/gdp-handbook/ looks a
little bit dated and it is rather long...
