Single Page option for the User Guide

Is there a strong reason why the current User Guide is no longer
provided with a single page HTML option?

There are some complaints being made that this makes searching
unnecessarily complicated. Yes, the PDF can be searched, but still,
searching from right inside a web browser provides less overhead than
having to launch a seperate PDF reader.
