Using texinfo

Hi Everybody
This is my first post so be nice :-)
I'm not quite sure if this is the place to ask but here goes.

I'm trying to use yelp with the Octave documentation. The octave 
documentation is in texinfo so I tried to translate this into docbook 
using makeinfo, but it doesn't work very well.

So I thought I'd ask If anybody has any experience going from texinfo to 
something yelp can read?
