Gnome 2 with Ximian Red Carpet

Hey guys,
With the beta out, a lot of people will be using the new Gnome 2 setup
for documentation work. What is quite possibly the easiest way to
install (trust me, I've tried them all) is by using Ximian's Red Carpet.
There is a channel called "Gnome 2 Snapshots". Click there and install
what you feel you need. It'll install some packages ***over*** your
current packages. That is the biggest warning. For example, I am using
only Nautilus2. I don't have a Nautilus 1 setup anymore. However, the
Control Center and other such applications install in parallel.
That is the biggest caveat. If it breaks your system, don't bitch to
me, Ximian, your mother, your girlfriend, or your dog. Heck, don't
complain to anyone. These are SNAPSHOTS of current code. I have been
using it full time for about a month and it only slightly broke my
system due to some really stupid package renaming tasks. You'll get
some bugs. Report them. Development is going fast.
Those are the caveats and such in regards to the Ximian Gnome 2.0
Snapshots. There is no guarantee. However, I've been using them for a
while and have been very pleased.
